New Faces, National Growth

The surprises of 2020 led to incredible growth at Intercambio in 2021. Our national impact continues to spread by growing key programs: CC English and Conversations on Race and Equity. Meet Johnny and Nitin, the new faces behind these programs.

Johnny, originally from Chile, is the CC English Manager overseeing the new online program. Along with two interns from CU Boulder and a team of software consultants, Johnny has helped build CC English into an interactive platform for English learners and volunteer teachers.

“I was drawn to work with CC English because it is an amazing opportunity to scale up and deliver a learning and teaching method that is unique, innovative, and accessible,” Johnny says.

The new Conversations Manager, Nitin, will oversee Conversations on Race and Equity in partnership with Common Good Collective. He will also lead the popular local program, Community Conversations, and help national partners do the same.

Nitin, whose parents are immigrants from India, says he is excited to build bridges across cultures and help Intercambio partners grow.

One year ago, these programs were ideas. We can’t wait to see where they will be a year from now. Welcome to Intercambio, Johnny and Nitin!
