Teacher Tip – Weekly Planner Exercise

Have students complete a planner, on either a weekly or monthly basis, in which they show when they will need to use English. Teachers can sit down with students and help them develop the vocabulary they need for a specific event, such as a doctor’s appointment. This is also a great time for students to ask questions about an upcoming event they may have. Additionally, during a class lesson, the teacher can point out to the students where and when they will be able to use the vocabulary or skill set.
