Joanna Watkins

As a long-time believer in the power of education, Joanna has spent over a decade supporting teachers, learners, and their families in Arkansas, Nicaragua, New York City, Seattle, and East Africa. She holds an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in International Studies and a master’s in International Education with a specialization in Education, Conflict, and Humanitarian Action. Joanna began her nonprofit career in the hopes that she might work with communities to improve access to high-quality educational opportunities and is thrilled to be a part of the Intercambio team and continue doing just that.

When she’s not working, Joanna can often be found at a brewery with her husband Tim and sweet pup Phillipa Lou.
