Micaela Armijos

Micaela, also known as “Mica”, is originally from Quito, Ecuador. She is thrilled to join the team as the Volunteer Manager for the Boulder County Program. She holds a degree in Business Administration from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador. Prior to joining Intercambio, she worked for an international cultural and language program managing exchange students from countries across the world by coordinating with their host families and helping them to get settled in the United States.

Mica is inspired by cultures and global understanding. She believes that, by immersing ourselves in other cultures, we can learn about each other, accept our differences, and break down cultural barriers through language. At Intercambio, she has found the opportunity to connect with a diverse community and contribute to its development.

When she’s not working, you’ll find Micaela dancing salsa, playing with her Pitbull/Black Lab-mix fur baby, or binge-watching series and spending time with her partner.
