Keri Davis

We are devastated to share that our coworker and friend, Keri Davis, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024. The Intercambio team was shocked to hear the news and heartbroken to lose her. Though we only had the pleasure of working with Keri for a short time, her laughter and cheer will be greatly missed. Our thoughts are with her family and her large community of friends and colleagues.

Last month, Intercambio was very pleased to welcome Keri Davis to the team in the role of Director of Development!

An experienced fundraiser, Keri previously served as the Community Partnership Director at the Wild Plum Center, a Longmont-based nonprofit focused on supporting low-income families by preparing children for a lifetime of learning and self-sufficiency through a comprehensive, individualized approach to early learning and family wellness. There, she set the team’s fundraising and philanthropy strategy and led the team in implementation, developing expertise in managing capital campaigns, cultivating donors, executing volunteer projects, and grant writing.

With a BS in Marketing and Management from CU Boulder and over 25 years working with international brands, she also brings diverse perspectives in operations and management for major international organizations such as Nordstrom, Ethan Allen, Starbucks, and Pier One.

Intercambio CEO John Lopez feels Keri’s vast experience in both the nonprofit and corporate sectors is just what the organization needs as it enters a pivotal phase of expanding impact. “Keri’s broad experience in various roles within development will be an asset as we strengthen our donor cultivation strategy and implement our strategic plan.”

Keri is driven by Intercambio’s mission to promote equity through English language education and is eager to expand outreach efforts both locally and nationally as the organization continues to evolve.

“I believe that knowledge and language are so powerful in all our everyday lives. I value that Intercambio brings this to life through connections of community volunteers and ESL learners, fostering growth in communities nationally and at home here in Boulder County,” Keri shared.

Outside of work, Keri enjoys a range of hobbies including cooking, traveling with friends and family, entertaining, and fishing. She loves spending time with her family of three, particularly supporting her daughter’s growing number of sports activities.
